looking for the worst in this skid and what you did to make it better
Weight Transfer is poor and the top end loss in some cases is a reall killer....

Nothing... Makes the Viper ride a 1000000x better. Weight transfer is better than stock. Getting it dialed in can be a pain in the a$$ took me a while to get it where I loved it.

has anyone accully done a top speed run with stocker then installed the m10 and seen the actual speed loss or is it an urban legend.
I have heard 5 to 10 MPH...depending on the set up....I know JTSSRX had it compared to a expert x

the only thing about the m10 is that it is really heavy. I was very surprised by this. nothing else handles the bumps as good as this. yes you do lose a lot of speed with it, but then install 8" aluminum wheels and you wont lose any speed.

I don't understand how the billet wheels make any difference?

they make the bend at the end of the rails less severe. It takes power to bend the track in a tighter radius, so bigger wheels free up some of this and make up for the power/speed loss.

I have 3 and willing to give up a little speed to get rid of the NOACTION suspension.

Not true!
I weighed the OEM suspension from my 97' SX and the M-10 when I did the retrofit. I don't remember the exact weights but I believe the Fast unit came in 8 to 10 pounds lighter.

m-10 with ohlins weighs 12 lbs less than stock...4 mph topend loss (gps). my only complaint with it is that a lot of the bolts bend...the one that mounts the shock to the skid in the front...i have replaced it 4 times...also all the bolts need to have loktite put on them they loosen after one ride...the way that the skid mounts...in the front is a poor design i have repaced the torque arms twice...m-10 is on its third season...well worth the money..the ride is incredible...its expensive but get the jack for it...very easy to dial the suspension in on the trail...

M10 W
The 151 M10 W with Olins and Yamaha mount kit is a porky 76 Pounds. I have no weight transfer issues but when the suspension is set for my weight to ride the best in the bumps, when I go WOT it squats down so much I loose suspension travel. Going uphill it will totally collapes at WOT. Tighter shock spring settings or FRA adj is a little stiff for me. Put a 3 gallon gas can on the back and I'm toast. The suspension comes stock with 7 3/4 " rear wheels and I'm geared for only 75 or so mph. so no high speed issues.

I put mine on (136" warrior) towards the end of this season. So far I don't have any major complaints. Ride was excellent, but I'll probably have to go with the stiffer rear springs as I had to crank the shock up quite a bit. Weight transfer was less when trying to pop the front end up going over bumps, but from a stand still on a lake I was able to lift the skis with no problem. Definately have to use locktite on the mounting bolts, but nothing on the suspension backed out. I added an 8" wheel kit at the same time, and didn't notice any loss of top end. It also rides significantly quieter than the proaction, no clunks or squeeks.

i have 1 M10 that has the medium grade fox shocks and 1 M10 that has the ohlins. The one with the ohlins weighs much less. The M10 with the fox shocks is way heavier than stock. Again, the best ride you will get.

Olins
Oldcat I have had the clicker turned in and turned out then at 10 clicks and everywhere else. In is the hardest I believe. I didn't get anything on the Olins from Fast when I got the suspension. My right torque arm bolt backed out also so I machined a steel washer to fit in the torque arm recess to reinforce the bolt hole of the torque arm. It loosened off again but the washer saved me from buying a new arm', aluminum didn't wear out. How did you rectify the squating on acceleration???

Yes, I have 2 Viper with M10 and an 03 RXI with an M10 136". And yes you have to keep an eyes on bolt tightness.

the one i have coming is a fixer upper. if i bought a new one i'd just tear it down anyway. i want billet wheels on it and the arms cromed so the savings from a used one will help with my stupidity.
this one has the , problem bolt coming out, problem. wore a couple holes out and needs to be tigged up. paint on the arms looks bad and wheels are a ski doo color, yuck
