Oil consumption?? What should it be?/

Just ran my 02 MM700 for 100 KM or 62 miles.....The driving was slow and easy and for half of that was not travelling faster than 30 miles per hour....
When I got home I filled with oil again and the damn thing used 750 mls of YamaLube...3/4 of a litre or quart....It seems too much to me...

Oh yes....That equated to 2/3 of a tank of feul....

What should I be using?...

I had this problem last week and I found that the oil cable was not lubed and it was sticking.
you could also look at the throttle lickage being loose and all so see if the adjustment is .75 inches
