well i think i have already told you that i have run those backers many times with great luck. I have never ran those studs though. Run woodys all the time, but not the signature series.

you know i have actually never had a woody's stud break off on me, but more than anything i think that is the way you ride. I don't come out of every corner wide open and spinning like hell. Thats when the studs will break because they catch something quick and either rip out or break. Personally i would rather have them break than rip out, but even better is to not spin much.

just hookup and launch

I have the signature studs with single round plastic backers on my Viper. I have not had any problems with them.

hey nb-white,
did you run 144 down the middle, and what was the overall wear after a season.
thanks ;)!

The studs seem to be wearing more then I would like. I didn't run them down the middle though.

there has to be a reason why the signature series are so much cheaper than the gold diggers, etc.

The price was hard to beat at $1.09 a stud cad. The the carbide tips are holding up ok. However the actual body of the stud is wearing fast. It all depends how you look at it. I am thinking by the time the studs are worn out. I will be ready for a new sled anyway.

my cuz is running those studs on his rev & they seem to be holding up pretty good.and for the money you can't go wrong & he is running 144 in the middle, with plastic fastrac backers.cant go wrong for 144 studs & backers for 340.00$can.

The stainless WEAR faster than steel? Why the are a harder metal and the don't rust?
some stainless is soft some is very hard. tha kind they use for studs doesnt have a lot of nickel in it and is on the soft side. i run stainless based on the fact that they dont rust and they are more likely to bend or snap than to tear a hole in my track. i would rather buy 5 studs a year for $1 each than to have a 5 tear outs!
