fast idle problem

Hi all u yamadudes hope your all polishing your sleds .lols .. My ? is my 00 srx 700 doesn"t seem to rev up when u first start it up when its cold and yess the choke is hooked up lols .. it was workin fine till the last of the season .( p.s it has all 2001 jetting in it ) .. its like it doesnt fast idle when u choke it if u no what i mean ... all advise is appreciated thxs guys

Have you cleaned the carbs??? Maybe one of the pilots are plugged or even the choke area in the carbs may be dirty.

why do you want it to fast idle when you choke it? The revs will usually DROP when you choke it because it takes it out of the lean spot. As soon as it runs smooth on its own you don't need the choke anymore. Where are your fuel screws set? Are the carbs clean? Float levels set at?

Well yamaholic it used 2 rev a little higher if u no what i mean the carbs have been cleaned by the dealer i replaced the pilots and main jets with the 2001 specs its got me stumped .......

you might want to take a look at your throttle cable or cables.adjustment may be a bit tight or routed wrong.just my 2 cents. shawn
