I'm not 100% on this, but I thought that the 78-80 srx440 used the 8jo heads and 8g9 cylinders

your heads and motor number are 1979 (8J0)

1978 -1979 -1980 SRX ALL USED 8G9 CYLINDERS.
1978 SRX USED 8G9 HEADS WHICH ARE BETER THAN 8JO HEADS BECAUSE THEY ARE 1/2 cc SMALLER.
1979-1980 SRX USED 8J0 HEADS
YOUR MOTOR NUMBER SHOULD BE RT439
CHASSIS # SHOULD BE 8JO WHICH IS PREFIX FOR 1979 SRX. !!3:16 (tony)
