I just got my boss seat in yesterday, now where is the snow, oh well i guess i need time to dig the sled out, polish the tunnel, add some ROX boards and a new track.
thanks randy for a great price.
I didn't do the light becouse i am not sure if i like the LED light that they offer, i am going to try and do something custom with a bracket and a viper or RX1 taillight, if that doesn't work then i will do the LED.
Same seat I bought last year. Using a 6" riser. Makes a sled feel like a dirt bike. Knees don't get sore anymore. Didn't buy their tailight. Using a 6" LED in a custom aluminum mount that rivits in place to the top of the tunnel.
that pretty much the feel i am hoping for. actually a little more than 6 inchs, i got a 5 inch riser and the pivot block which adds almost two inches.
I wanted to to do something custom with the taillight, really don't care for the led look. Light off from a RX1 will be my 1st choice, mount it on a nice piece of polsished allum.
I only have a 2" riser. If I get a flat top Boss seat. Would I need to get taller riser to make it worth my while ? I am thinking I would if I raise my seat my
3".
Viper,
I got the seat from gobig at www.gobigparts.com, i didn't get the Led, so i am not sure what they run, if you e-mail them, they can give you a total price.
I would think if you went with the highrise flattop, you would want a little more riser then the 2" , maybe at least 4".
its kind of a mixture.
I changed my brake hose to a 97 sx hose and rerouted it a little., they were longer than the later years so it worked out well.
the oil hose is the stock one, but i routed under the air filter in the slot on the airbox, i know the the sx's and sxr's are this way, i think the Srx airbox is different. with the reroute the oil is long enough.
the throttle cable i had rerouted stock and it only lasted about a month, since then i added the power madd throttle extension, and it seems good now.
