Time to sell my '01 SX700R. Great sled but getting long in the tooth (8k mi). My usual replacement routine is to buy a 2 year old sled and keep it until the registration expires (3yrs). I primarily ride groomed trails and generally ride between 150 -200 miles per day. I am also considering going 4 stroke but don't like the weight of an RX1 and the new 3 cylinder sleds are too new to fit my timeframe. Although I would consider an '05 if the price was right. So, my question is: What '04 or '05 Yamaha would you all recommend?

05 RX1 or 05 Vector...both great sleds but the Mono Shock will ride better on the 05 RX1 just make sure that the skid in the 05 gets the updates.
The updates are mentioned in the new Snow Tech that came out.

I think an RS Vector would be a good choice. One things for sure, go for a 4-stroke.

Either way you can't go wrong I would go with a 05 rx1 or warrior,vector.I personally like the vector on the trails better than the rx1 either way there both nice sleds.

2004 SX Viper S - Great sled, and you can find one quite reasonable.

I think the Iowa City Iowa dealer has a brand new 04 viper s for sale. Be a great sled. Maxdlx
