Ok guys, I had the sled apart doing some different things. I had the suspension out and had the rear end jacked up high in the air. About a week later I notice some oil on the garage floor. After much searching for the leak I found that it was coming from one of the fuel lines.I pulled the carbs and the fuel line closest to the gearbox was full of oil. I actually pulled it off the pump and pure oil came out of the pump. It has to be because I had the back of the sled in the air, but I have never had the fuel pump apart to see how it is set up. Has anyone else ever had this happen, or does it make sense that it could happen. I'm assuming now that I have it level again it won't seep any more oil, but I'd like to know for sure. Thanks guys!

Your oil pump sends pure oil into the fuel pump. Could be that the angle your sled was at was draining oil all the way through the pump, not sure but that is all I can think of. Was it a line from the oil pump to the fuel pump, or a line from the fuel pump to the carbs?

It was the line from the fuel pump to the carb opposite the clutch. Hopefully someone else has had this happen before.. If not I will open up the fuel pump and see how it could happen...

I'm surprised nobody has had this happen. Anyone know how the fuel pump works internally? How the oil gets mixed. I don't want to open it up if it is just fine and it would be expected to leak when the rear is held high in the air. I'll try this post one more time.. If I don't get anything I will just open it up.
