I know this topic was covered before, but with gas now $1.25/L for reg here in North Ontario VS $1.37 for prem i was woundering for a guy who doesn't lake race, only light trail and now boondocking with 136 SRX could i run reg gas and just add some octane booster(which i think would be cheeper than running premium gas).............James

Dont know what octane boost cost up there but I,ve done the math and to boost 87 to 93 octane the cost of the reg fuel + the boost is more than just paying for the 93 octane ! also octane boost can change the color of your plugs and give you a false plug reading .

All octane booster is junk! When they say they raise it 1 point, what they mean is it raises it from 87 to 87.1 buy the premium and save yourself a rebuild!

dont bitch man becuase gas here in central ny is $3.19 a gallon for reg & almost hitting 4.00$ for super some places...

I realize the cost of fuel is going to influence some Individuals in how many miles they ride this winter. But image the cost for a family of 4 with 4 sleds. Travel costs about the same but 4 times the cost of fuel on the trail.

Less riders this winter on the trails is only going to reduce the risks of accidents.

you guys are LUCKY!!! i gota run c-12 hgahahahah im ****ed man!! but i got a set of heads for pump aswell.. so yeah, im kinda of a Racer/Mountain killer

filled up the van yesterday 14 gallon came to 46.50 3.19$ a gallon.i dont think you will see as many people riding this winter if the prices continue to climb....

Try getting 200 gallon of diesel fuel at 2.91. Thats what a whole trip to Tx used to cost, not just one tank. Might be time to sell the truck. Maxdlx

i own 2 srx's a 99 and 00 i run regular in my sleds all day everyday and i havent had a problem yet.i get my gas at our local cardlock petrocan and i know a guy that works there and he tells me when fills up the service stations the premium and regular tanks are filled from the same hose.
