viper Idle problem - Electrical?

I've had this problem for the last year and a half and have yet to figure it out. When the sled idles down you can hear it start to cut out and it will just die. I pull start it and it fires right up. Lights and everything work fine and I don't feel any stumble, hesitation, etc under acceleration. Just when I come to a stop, it will idle down then for a few seconds then shut off. This is what I have done.

Cleaned carbs - at least 10 times
Went through the wireharness as good as I could and haven't found any shorts.
bipassed the carb idle control (can't remember what it is called)

Could it be a CID or Stator?

how are your plugs and piston wash? Jetted very rich, especially on pilots? This could cause it to dump too much fuel in when you let off the throttle and shut it down. Could be lean on the needles too, so when you let off it isn't enough fuel and it dies. First verify how the color looks on the plugs and pistons.
 
Plugs look fine, probably a little on the rich side but not bad at all. I'm running CPR's recomended jetting. I haven't looked at the piston wash though. They way it cuts out though sounds electrical to me.

#1 No Problem

#2 The viper ran great last season, summerized, did everything to the "T". Both sleds, started them up a couple weeks ago, all new plugs.

Starts up runs great while choke is in middle position, as soon as I turn choke off idles low, then it will not stay running. Have to turn choke on again.

Anu suggestions?

That almost for sure sounds like a pilot jet problem from a little bit of bad gas in there. Get the carbs off and clean them, i would bet the pilots are plugged.
 
One of the Carbs was dirty, on the bottom of the float bowls, with the fuel drained out, there was small grain like deposits, almost looked coagulated, (Looked like little boogers). Cleaned them up, and the idler valve was very clogged sprayed some choke cleaner and used a little air, no more blockage.

Nice job on the fix there! Just get that chick to keep the track side down and lets get some sleddin' in this winter. :D

How was your summer?

Where the tires on the trailer the originals? I put new ones on this weekend.

They are already to go.
