Anyone have any exp. with there cold air kit???I've read a while ago that this is the best bolt on,for the viper??????Any truth to it???

I had them do their stage 3 mod ($265) to my stock SRX silencer and it showed no gains on the dyno. They claimed 7-10Hp from the mod.
I fought with them for a refund, etc. and they didn't even want to give me the time of day.
As far as the cold air kit, no idea. Just my experience with them, fyi.
 
if it's anything like the srx just leave the air box alone.There was alot of engineiring put into these things
 
only works good when there is no snow , air boxes fills up with snow when its snowing or if you ride close behind some one on the trails & doesn't work at all when your in the mountains playing in the deep stuff, I finally covered my with duct tape
 
I have the kit, but I bought the sled with it already installed so I can't say for sure how much it helps. Fix hasn't been helpful at all with my sled and are ungodly expensive with no after the sale support. I will only take it to them if I am desperate.
 
Vipers are bad enough with snow ingestion when in powder or when it is snowing out. Vipers in our group were running like the choke was on after it had been snowing awhile, pull the hoods and the airbox intakes were almost completely iced over.
 
I have had this problem ONCE with the ingestion! I cant beleive how many others actually have problems and how lucky I have been with it.
 
has anyone got a pic of this air intake? they dont show a pic on their website. although they do have a nice 02 leftover 600sxr for $5k :)
 
yeah, I have too replace my foam around the airbox,was filling it up in the morning,with oil and ripped it,half of it was froze over.Do those prefilters that go over the airbox work???
 
I've got the cold air kit in my viper and put the prefilter over the airbox as added protection and I have not had any problems with eiter. Not alot of cost for a little for a good filter.

I put a couple SLP flowrites in mine. They allow cool air to enter from behind the windshield. I think they were about $17-18, each.
