Whats the best plug for a Viper ?

Like it says above. Whats the best plug for a Viper ? I have been running ths stock BR9ES. I have heard some guys say I should be running BR9ECS or BR9EV/BR9EIX-S. I ran a set of Splitfire in my heavily modded Phazer back in the day. I found they worked good. What do you guys think ?
 
I run denso's they cross ref. them with the stockers,so far I've been running the same plugs for 2 years,about 3 thousand miles.Plus they are at a good price$$$.
 
i run ecs's on all my vipers just make sure you get the right gap. do a search on this it was a pretty good discussion.
 
re plugs

i had a problem last year with my srx 700 fouling plugs, i was running br9es so i talked to a local yam dealer and he recomended br9eya and i havent had a problem since. just my 2 cents hope it helps
 
I have great luck with the stock ones, never had a fouled plug, other than when I ran ring free through it and didnt add enough . loosened the deposits but not loose enough to pass through the engine. it popped and clogged the powervalves and fouled a plug. other than that outside circumstance, never had a problem
 
i run br9eya, same heat range and such as the es, but have a groove cut in the electrode to provide more spark, my snowmobile supply store sells eya same as es so i buy eya...... viper has never been a plug fouler, but now i only change before a big trip or after a whoops i left it idle too long....
 
EYA are an anti-fouling plug. Great plug and cheap. ECS are very tempermental and subject to fouling just ask any REV rider.

Huh... I must be special... LOL The only time I've had problems with the ECS plugs fouling in my SRX is when some jackass put diesel fuel in it... Other than that I've let sit and idle for 10 - 15 minutes before without any problems.
 
yea i never have problems with the ECS plugs either, except that they are a little more expensive.
 
If I touch the throttle while the engine is coming up to temp, then I will foul a plug every time. As long as I only use the choke to keep the engine running until its warm it will never foul a plug. This is using ecs'.

Well said! Yammy's will do that no matter WHAT plug you use, make sure you let them get nice and warm before you touch that flipper. ;):D
 
mine never do that :( lucky I guess....... my old 600sx twin was a terribly cold blooded beast though, always ran poor until after about 3 miles lol
 
those 600 twins are like that from what i have seen. My sx 700r with coated triples was like that too, really ran like junk until those pipes got HOT.
