power is cheaper and more effective than light weight parts. to shave 50 pounds off and keep it functional as a trail sled would cost as much as a big bore!

throw a polaris edge suspension under there. better ride, better weight transfer and lighter. you can pick up a complete one for $300. if your interested i can get you measurements. if you can measure and pull rivets its easy.yamaracer18 said:any one got an idea what a new rear suspensinon costs just found mine is all messed up a arms and shit are all broke

I know this is a one case scenerio. Last year I finally got to run a F7 with my Viper. I personally think it was bone stock. It was a 2003 sno pro efi with the 1.375" track and looked VERY clean. The kid riding it was just that, a kid about 135lbs. soaking wet(I'm 205lbs.) not to mention it was 35deg.F. We ran a good 1/4 mile in a hay field with a good packed 10" snow base. My gut feeling was I'm going to get smoked. Low and behold it was the opposite. I smoked him every time. I was shocked being I have driven the F7's before and have been impressed with the performance of them. Obviously they need tuning too and this one must need some. Must be the chip that wakes them up.
I guess the moral of the story is, on paper you would give the nod totally to the F7...... but you never know. Every scenerio is different.

the mono shock rides waaay better than the stock no action, and is made a lot more rugged.
