I got that in Sept. of 2000 so it's been 4 years on them boots and they have a hole in the top of the right one and the left one almost has a hole (they still don't leak however so they were/are good boots for $70.00). It's because we actually grip the sled with the top of the boot and it really rips up the tops. I stand and ride so my feet are a big part of my control. I am buying the new Yamaha snow-x boots this year. I like the Glacier Boot but my dealer said they are really big and did not like them (I will decide at the Big-East snow show after I see them). They are saying to get the Polar boot as it is a "nicer" boot. I liked the all rubber inside of the Glaicer for protection on my tunnel. I have scene a lot of problems with speed laces and torn seats. I will also make sure I get the right size. I got my HJC's a bit larger than I like 11's and I like a 10 -10.5. I get sock suck all day long and I hate sock suck. It's caused by boots being too largs and getting too much movement in the boot. OK, my 2 cents. The top image is the glaicer boot and the second is the polar boot. Doug
