When should I put new primary and secondary springs on? My Viper has 3200 miles on Her? Thanks in advance for the info Guys.

I would do it now for $20(primary). The secondary springs last a lot longer.If you see a sudden drop in rpm,s the 1st & easiest place to check is the primary spring.

If I am running at about 18000KM's and it is seriously over-reving. Should I be looking at a rebuild of the clutches or just two new springs?

Overrevving could be worn bushings in the secondary or an old belt.

18000km...can you say rebuild.
Bushings, rollers, pins, springs. Do it and you will see a big performance difference.

thats what I am doing as well, figure I will buy a tune up kit from somewhere online (cant remember the site now ) that includes the rollers and everything else. figure good preventitive maint at abroun 5k miles on my 03

yamaha even has those tune up kits you are talking about. Its on their fiche (and ronnies) as optional clutch something, right at the top when you are looking for the specific subject of parts on your sled.

yup, EXACTLY what I was thinking about doing, from either them or port yamaha. need a tune up kit for the 00 sxr 600 in the family as well. ahhh, $$$ and more $$$
