Lightweight gears?

if you're *** dyno can register a couple thousandths of a second in the 8th mile they're worth it, elsewise save the dough.

If you are talking aluminum gears don't think about trail riding them.You will wreck them eventually.
 
Yea if you mean slightly lighter weight, aftermarkets like Erlandson and Goodwin greats are lighter than stock, and have more tooth options. They are lighter because they have holes, instead of the solid stock pieces. Don't think you will ever break a gear, just wear them out and break chains. Point is: they dont need to be built like tanks the way the stockers are ;)!
