Intalling transfer Rods to 97SX, any tips...

The hardest part is getting the old ones out to do that take a rubber mallet and hit the shaft until it it moves then just pull it out enough to get the rod out and slip the new one on. Dont pry, pull, of hit the idler wheel.
 
Yea as Dan said you have to pound the hell out of that shift to get it to move (it's a press fit inside the upper mount of the control rods), but you have to get creative with your methods so that you don't mushroom the end of the shaft, because that would be a mess.
