Just wanted to give my formal introduction, HI!. I've read through the forums thoroughly and really enjoy what you guys here offer. I'm a 26ylrd dude from upstate NY. I just bought my first real sled 2 winters ago =) My dad had a 79 or 80 enticer that I rode (when it would start) till i was 15. I finally got myself in a position that I can offerd some toys =)

Without knowing jack about sleds I ended up with a 97' vmax 600 xtc. The first year I owned I only rode 6 times, the other 10 times I coulda been out, the sled was in the shop.

The story sorta goes, shop replaced I cylinder with an after market, had to go back and both cylinders were replaced with oem. Last year the sled ran great, I think the last time the shop had it they fixed it right.

After reading everything here I'm excited about doing alot of work on my sled myself this year (no engine work for me yet)

So howdy all, looking forwarding to convo'ing with ya alls

Mike

Hi and welcome to the site!!!

SRX is a triple cyl triple piped PVS lake power house and the xtc is a single pipe cruiser. You need more??

NYstateboy I live in Clifton Park, actually I camp every year at Rogers Rock =) I ride the Mullyville trails out to Sacandaga

I had a choice in the dealership between a triple and the xtc.. i was told since i'll be doing alot of trail riding the XTC would be better...

I guess my question was more in Suspension and body between Srx sxr and the xtc..
