Hey guys, I just replaced the front H arm on my MMax with a lightweight one from Mountain Performance one, it uses different front limit straps, I was going to set it up close to the stock height but i forgot to take the measurement before swapping it, I wondered if someone could get me the stock height from their MMax (long travel) say from the rubber bump stop to the bottom of the front H arm (travel area) when the track/suspension is supsended in the air. This will get me close and i will adjust it further after we get snow.
I have attached a pic, the Yellow arrow is the distance I need, thanks....Rob
BTW, what do you think of the new look? polished stock rails and all billet wheels with 8"ers on the back

compress the shock 1 inch and tighten the straps there, they are as they say shock limiting straps and adjust full travel and ski wieght if tightened up.looks nice rob.

OK. Did the measurement and it is 10" from the center of the shaft to the bottom of the hyfax. However, I'm not sure that will help you. I probably hold the record for installing aftermarket skid frames in tunnels in the wrong place. Here is some of what I have learned. IMO the number one best way to do this is to install the skid and the axle c/w drivers without the track. Block the front of the sled up a couple of feet and suspend the tail. Raise the skid into the tunnel using blocks or floor jacks. Now you can see the path the track will follow on both the top and the bottom. I use a common string line with marks that identfy the length of the track. By the way, don't assume that the actual track lenght is the advertised length. Count the windows and multiply by 2.52 or 3, depending on what spacing you are using. Mark the string and install it on the track path. I use small pieces of masking tape to keep it on the idlers etc. Set your track adjusters at about the 3/4 adjusted positon. If you get the skid too high, the string will touch the front mounting shaft before it gets to the drivers. I try to set up for a use a 1" gap between the rub point of the skid frame and the string. I like to have about .5" between the string and the tip of the rails. Once your happy with with the string you will be happy with the track. Hope this helps you. Good luck.
