yamaha watercraft gp1200r help

Looking at buying a 99 gp1200 and a 2000 gp1200r. Wondering what there worth. The gpr won't come off idle for a little while after motor is hot and restarted ? could it be tors system. Owner is thinking carb problems. the 99 has 120hrs, the 2000 has 100 hrs. I have not seen them, but plan on checking compression and for air leaks. Thanks any help appreciated

Sounds like a carb problem on the GPR..they are a huge pain to get to so keep that in mind. I've got a 00 myself and it's a great machine but very tough to work on. There is alot of info and support out there for both those boats. Check out www.rivayamaha.com they have a great board.
