I have an old windshield for my SRX and thought I might spray paint the back side black and try to save $70. Me and some friends used to do this to make our own headlight covers in the 80's with plexi-glass. What are your experiences doing this????

Yup, still works today. Be sure to prep it good before you shoot it and just use just enough mist coat to completely cover it. Too much will probably peel eventually.

use the krylon paint for plastic, start with very light coats until completely covered,i just did mine this summer, looks great and the paint dries fast,oh and paint the inside of the windshield, from the outside it will look glossy.

I just did my stock viper windshield this past weekend using the Krylon Black paint and it worked great. Cleaned the back of the windy and started spraying...nothing to it.
