I'm thinking about getting a new track for my sled, but unsure of what size and what will work on it.
Its a 97' Vmax XTC
I see tracks on ebay that say will work on any sled, but how do how do I
know it will work with clearance and what not?

A 1 inch lug track will work out very nicely on that sled. I sent you a PM

I have the same sled... just a 98 version. I just bought a used .9" track from a TY member with 144 Woody's already in it. He even came by my office to let me take a look at it. Track is in awsome shape. What a guy! What a site! Anyway, if you want new, 2000srx has good prices. If you want used, shop around, especially here on TY and you will find what you are looking for.
I think the new 1 inch hacksaw would suit you nicely.
