I'm want to upgrade the rear suspension in a SXR to an M-10. My question is

yea and then put some ohlins in the front or just get ur stock revalved for ur weight and riding style amkes a big diference for teh stock schocks exspecialy if tehy ahvent been rebuilt in a while and still ahve the stock oil in them thats junk and breaks down ur first ride.

I would. Just bought an m-10 myself and now i'm nosediving. If you can't change the shocks at least find some way to shim the front end up otherwise you have way too much ski pressure and get a good case of the darts.

Put a M-10 in my 02 V-Max last winter. If you are having trouble darting try increasing your limiter strap length. Also experiment with different spring pressure settings on the front spring of the M-10. Great suspension everyone just needs to experiment for their own riding style and specific sled to get the most out of it.
I stayed with the standard front shocks but do mostly groomed trail riding.
