You want to make it higher?? Not sure why, or do you want to make it a long travel suspension?

I had a 95 v-max. The owner before me fashioned steel brackets mounted inside the tunnel. Basically they lowered the idler wheels beyond the footwell thus lifting the sled. If you just want to raise the seat a little off the ground, it worked quite well. Made the sled look a little better too.

yeah i want to make my susupension higher, somehow lift the rear of the whole sled to make it higher, the stock suspension is kind of low compared to sleds these days
have u thought of changing the suspension??? used proaction skid should work, of a m10/expert x? look on ebay they show up there sometimes cheap....

does anyone know the stock size of the shock ? and would a 14.4'' gas fox shock fit on it?

no that fox shock wont fit on a yamaha. The one in the link is for Arctic Cats.
What are you hoping to accomplish by making it higher?

raising the roll center to make it corner worse! duh!
Higher?
Just jacking the back end up is going to hurt the handling of the sled and accomplish nothing. Unless you're planning to long travel the skid I don't get the point. Looks?

i pretty much just want to put better suspension in my sled, and i like the look of the higher rear suspension, i was just wondering if it could be done, even a little bit without messing up any handling or anything like that. Any suggestions of any good aftermarket shocks for this sled that will make the suspension better without compermising any handling ?
thanks alot

find a used procation skid is your best and cheapest way to improve the ride....... there are some available from time to time.... guys that have installed other suspensions or parting out sleds.... may take some mac gyver to mount it in the old chassis, but should work....

Go get a Pro X skid
a viper/sxr skid would probably be the best as they have rebuildable shocks.

Just get viper shocks

you can't just put viper shocks into an pre-proaction yamaha suspension

ONE QUESTION is your sled a 99vmax 700,or a sx700.if it is a vmax700 then you already have 11.5" of travel,if it is a vmax sx 700 then you have 8" of travel,if it is the 8"travel then just buy the long travel kit from maxxperf or pionner performance.or viper shocks or go for the m-12.
