What pipes should I get?

Hey everybody,
Now that the temperature is dropping, and there has been some snow flurries, it is time to get some pipes for my Viper. I want a powerful reliable set, and I really want to turn some heads. What should I get, and is anybody selling theirs? Thanks in advance.

not sure you will find a REALIBLE set for the viper, unless you are the tinkering type and love rejetting those flatsides........
 
slp's dont give that same burn down tendancy? just when people try to get better mileage the sleds let go?
 
i cant say i agree with tha either. There are plenty of people that run pipes reliably. Just jet in teh safe range, abit rich and you should be fine. Pipes in my opinion dont hurt reliablity when setup right
 
I personally like the SLP pipes, just my opinion though!

It doesn't matter which pipes you put on, do the setup right the first time! I recommend the opti-cool head gasket, SRX base gasket, and rear heat exchanger to be installed on any set of pipes going on a Viper! After you install all that bleed the coolant system properly several times until you have all the air out and then bleed it once more just to make sure! Also run a heat range 10 spark plug will help make things live longer as well and avoid detonation!
 
I run SLP's on my viper. Two years without touching the jets after the initial set up. I have run from negative 10 to 40 above and from sea level to 6000' without a problem and has more than enough power to handle any stock 800. On snowest it is a landslide that SLP pipes give the most consistant HP/quiestiest sound/most reliable/ with the best fit and finish. Also with all the research I have seen on snowest and on here I have not seen a single burn down from someone running SLP pipes. I wouldnt waste your time with a can when that $225 is almost 1/3 of what pipes cost and you will get much more satisfaction from turning your sled from 600cc class power to 800cc power class.
 
wow, didnt realize slp's were that reliable! I never mess with stuff like that because I am not enough of a tuner. and I can ride from -20 to -25 up to 45-50 in the spring. just doesnt seem like I could possibly jet for that range and not sacrifice reliability or have it run terrible once warm.
 
Viper SLP ceramic coated tripple pipes for sale

I have a set of SLP ceramic coated tripple pipes for sale for $600 ($1,150 new) including installation instructions. They were on a 2002 Viper that I have since sold. They are in excellent condition and have approximately 1,000 failure free miles on them. Huge increase in power. I also have jetting, and Maxximum Performance or Reichards Performance clutching for sale to optimize performance. I used Digitron exhaust temperature/tach gauges to dial in jetting and clutching. Also have V-force reeds that were used in the performance package.
 
I have seen 2 mid range burn downs with SLP piped Vipers. One was a 04 with DCS & it went kaboom. That is where a lot of probs occur!
