Well anytime you reduce friction and rolling resistance your gonna gain speed. the bigger wheels reduce the bending of the track which eats up power and scrubs off speed, the easier it is to bend, the easier it rolls across the ice.
Easy way is to use polaris 5.350 wheels on all 6 skid wheels, then use 7.5" rear wheels from a 79 srx440, then use the marginal wheels up at the curve of the rails, then put a new set of black graphite sliders on a table saw, cut them down so they are 1/8th of an inch thick, and install them, thats how youll get free top end speed.
