Need help ASAP AGAIN!!!

the opposite side from the clutch side :) if it would be an air leak would'nt it affect it at all time and not just at idle.
 
Yes. If there is no/ or little suction and you can suck gas out of the pulse line, it is defective in the fuel pump. If it is electrical, I wish you the best of luck. Sometimes it takes a while to figure out that stuff!
 
A fuel pump kit is about $20.00 rebuild it and see if that fixes it .And don't ride it untill it is fixed . It could well be a shaft seal . although I think it should just idle fast and not miss . Did you check to see if the spark is good at idle ? You are close don't give up .
 
ok i disconnected the pulse line from the crankcase (kept the other 2 fuel lines to the carbs connected). I sucked on the pulse line and put my tongue and it was holding a suction and the fuel didnt come out of the pulse line. So that elimimates the fuel pump right???. Now what should i check next? can it be the crankcase seal on the mag side? i replaced the clutch side seal last summer so i knwo that one is fine. help!!
 
Did you spray starting fluid on the mag side inbehind the recoil .If you spray in behind the mag and the idle speed changes you need a seal . When you switched carbs did you switch the fue lines from one to the other or did you just leave them hooked up . If not switch them and see if the miss moves ,if it doesn't the fuel pump is good . Can you get your hands on a compression tester ?I would like to know what the compression is .Maybe you could rent one at an auto parts store . I know that you replaced the piston but I would like to know what the comp is you wouldn't be the first one to get the wrong piston ,and install it and never new that it was wrong . If you can humor me and check it .
 
i have 150lb of compression on each side. I also tried chaging the fuel lines from side to side and it always stais to the same side. By spraying starter fluid behind the recoil where exactly do you mean?? in the boot of the carb? or directly on the crankcase behind the recoil (would have to take it off) and behind to flywheel (so pretty much directly on the mag side seal)???
 
You want to get as close to where the crank comes threw the seal as you can . Is there no opening on that side at all .there usually is some thing . I don't like to see you taking the recoil off withg the engine runing as that is dangerous ,it has to be running for this test to work . Can you change that seal with out splitting the crank ? you have lots of compression .Did you use Oem piston . I am going to see if I can find a parts blow up of this engine so i have a better idea what you have . Spray where the rope goes into the recoil if there is a leak it should suck it in .
 
That should do it ,use a can with a stem so you can spray it in there not to much ,and the rpms should change if they dont then that is likely ok .You see if there is a big vacuum leak then it won't suck gas threw the carb.
What year is this sled ?
