I have one. Love the sunvisor. It doesn't fog up much either. I have the lowest windsheild possible on my SXR and on really cold days at high speeds( over 75 or so ) It fogs a little, but not bad. Great for smoke breaks, lol. Pretty compfy to.

I love mine, minimal fogging if any and being able to keep the helmet on during pit stops is a major bonus.

face mask
Make sure you have extra snaps for the face mask. You WILL need them.

be prepared for triangle patches on your face from frostbite in certain instances (fact). also, no protection in a chin bar impact. the hinges are plastic and they are known to fail under normal use. they seem very convenient and they are popular. but they are not for me, i value my head and face. and, they aint lightweight. my .02 ski
Thanks Guys!! I'm Going To Check Out The Helmets At The Big-e Snow Show In West Springfield Ma. On Sunday.

I bought a HJC modular which I have'nt tried out yet. But my brother-in-law has one and seems to like it. Probably less money too.

I choose not use these helmets due to safety concerns and weight.
i cant stand the modular helmet spit drippin blues.... in fact that alone gags my wife... she wanted one until she saw a friend of ours with the old spit drip going....
also if you have a big head, the cheek area of the modulars seem pretty tight to me...., i love my HJC helmets, have an snocross style that i wear 90 percent of the time, and full face for those colder days....

LMAO......
I use the pads that go inside the breather or paper towels( Get the VIVA), Viva works just as well if not better, and are alot cheaper, to. Also you can use napkins from resturants if you run out, they work okay.

Im not a fan of these helmets they weigh like 10 lbs lol and it makes me feel like stuffed inside this thing. Kind of like being cramped up in it I dont know if that makes any sense?
I really like MX style helmets if you get the right ones with the breath shield and the right goggles you wont get cold. Especially if you put on a thin Balavaca underneath it thats what i do. Havent had any problems with cold and ive been in really cold conditions

Extra snaps are a must.
As far as drool pads...the mask works pretty well without anything in it. easy to clean-rinse with water and shake. Otherwise cut some from cloth and change them out throughout the day. wash and reuse. when cutting cloth ones, make you leave some extra space around the breath tubes so that the holes don't get partially blocked.
Surprised to hear about fogging, I've ridden @ -24F with no issues of fogging but like ski mentioned frost bite is an issue but just make sure you wear something around your neck.
Love mine, wouldn't ride without it.

Ive had mine for a couple years now and have not had one problem with it except the visor fell out once. Took 15 mins to put back into place. It never fogs up, as far as weight it doesnt seem that heavy at all. Coolest looking helmet, sunvisor is a life savor when your facing the sun, very warm. I have big cheeks and it doesnt squish mine in at all. I wear a XL.

I have been thinking about using a modular without the supplied face mask and just using a chin strap with a regular face mask. I have a facemask that the front opens and drops down and has Velcro closures. This would eliminate the filters and the frostbite. I have also heard of eyeglass fogging with a modular. Can a chin strap be fitted to the helmet? The other way would be to buy a motorcycle modular helmet and then a double lens face shield which would have to be from a company that offers both bike and sled versions of modulars. I would also like to use the helmet on the bike. Comments or suggestions?
I Have Glasses That Is Why I Was Looking At The Modular Helmet.

i had a bv2s and took it back iced up foged up.But after i was told with the bv2s you have to get one that you would think is to small at first, like almost force it over your head it has to go on tight that way when you adjust the teloscopic nose/mouth peice you get a good seal on you face
