Helmet??

Magic, I'm an older guy (too) who needs to wear glasses when riding and being able to wear glasses without them EVER fogging is incredible. comfortable fit and never fog.

wiseguy, don't bother with other masks. tried it, helmets keeps from foggng because breath is tranfered directly out of the helmet through the tubes.

NO one mentioned the breath tubes freezing up.
I have had mine freeze solid and closed on cold days (<-10F) at that point your litterally sucking the air in to breathe. It's a 5 minnute procedure to do is stop and take the helmut off and break the ice dams out of the breath tubes. But if you the lead dog and don't want to give up your position, it sucks.
I went to the HJC open face.

SRXMAGIC has a very good question. I to wear glasses and have not been able to figure out how to get them to work in a helmet. I bought some fancy homade anit-fog crap at a show one time and my glasses did not fog but instead just beaded up with condensation. Which didn't do much good. What do you guy's do?

WOW, That hasn't happened to me, YET. That would suck. #$%&* #$%&*

It sounds like the drawbacks -frostbite and tubes freezing (I ride in cold temps) and the hassle of the filters- may keep me from buying a modular. Has anyone used the Yamaha Sno-Force modular or any other brand for a comparison?

I didn't use the paper towel in the mouthpiece either and maybe that contributed to more moisture going out the side tubes and freezing. I just did not like that wet paper towel dripping on my face. with out the paper towel, I would just blow out hard once in a while to remove the H2O buildup in the mouthpiece. It beats having to ring out the soaked paper towel every 20 miles!

I wear glasses and have great luck with both HJC and GMAX modulars with heated face shields. I never use face mask. No fogging and can put glasses on and off wirh helmet on or off. Also we run in cold temps down to -20 F. studdog

I decided against the MOD helmets due to the weight and safety factors. I prefer the MX style and goggles. 1/2 the weight and much better visibility.

I like mine, Its heavy but if your a MAN...shouldnt bother you..HEHE! :Moon:

Buy a extra set of snaps just incase. Mine broke after 2 years. The new style is better and thicker.

I also use my dirtbike helmet, but as for fogging doesnt get much better unless your pluggin in your shield.

My 2 cents...

I have one and it works great. I went out in -39C and only the top corners frosted abit. I broke the jaw part but that was my fault. Most guy's I ride with never owned a better helmet, you won't be dissapointed with it, it's the only this that I got for Bombardier that did'nt blow up or break> ;)!

Srxcan, Ha Ha Ha Ha Same Here !! ;)!
Had A 98 Machz That I Sawed The Motor In Half When The Rod Bearing Let Go.
