Phazer 500 / Mountain Lite ( Pro Action Chassi ) 97-->

Hello !

I'm looking for performance parts for the :
* Phazer 500
* Mountain Lite 500 ( 1999 - 2001 )
* Venture 500 XL

...with 485cc Fan Cooled engine, all with Pro Action chassi.


The only thing I have found is this :

PSI made twin pipes for the Phazer, but I think Bender made a kit?
modded cut pistons
ported cyl. cut head?
single pipe ( 14HP? )
ETC.....

Any engine performance parts for the earlier Phazer (1984 and up) will work on your sleds such as reeds, pistons, heads, porting mods etc. Keep in mind that the clutching will need to be changed (reset) with most performance modifications.

reeds are different if you only buy the pedals the old ones are a different size, but if you have the cage out of an old phazer you could use that cage with the reeds they will fit the motor in the new phazers/ml500

Modded pistons......

Somewere in my head my memory tells me that back in 1989 - 1994
GYT sold moddified pistons called "Phazer SX" pistons.
I don not remember what the modified was......
I even know that I have seen a drawing showing how to moddifie the OEM pistons up to "SX" specs....

Does someone here know what the so called "SX" pistons was ??
OEM part number ??
