what I did this weekend. well what else I did this weekend. I also donated a days work with about 13 other guys up in pittsburg NH and re-decked a bridge. felt good. rained all damn weekend, worked in the rain, at least there was a garage that the sled was in, the only dry thing I did all weekend lol! anyways, heres the windy, I like it but fear of frostbite lol! at least it is easy to change ;)

and a view of the garage, for good measure. the viper is mine, the sxr 600 is the fiances. dad has the vector, mom the 03 vmax 600. dad still has his old sled, an 02 vmax 600 as a spare, and all the old cats are his lol! he likes to collect the old sleds, and cat has the easiest to trace history and a big racing history as well. enjoy boys, and let me know what ya think!

why is yours flared and mine not? it is the lack of a flair that scares me, just like my old 97 sx stock windy, but I guess I was fine with that for 9k miles

I have seen the blue chrome listed as 10" and 12" depending on the store, which is strange. I wonder if they changed from one year to the next? Harry, is yours the transparent one or solid chrome shield? I believe the transparent one is slightly taller.

it could be the picture, but yours looks to be darker then Harry's as well. Regardless, it looks sharp!

i like the sleek look of your viper,the shield and head light cover are what sets that sled off,a real head turner.leave it alone it looks great now......

thanks for all the comments guys. no real plans for any changes, just maybe a silver skid plate if I found one used and cheap, just to see what it looks like, and thats about it :)
 
I would not worry about frost bite. I have a low profile windshield on my viper. Last season we road at 20 below and I never got cold. The sled looks great!!!
 
Off subject a bit but I am gled to see you called it a "WINDY" I was selling a Pro X low chrome yellow on another site & some nut said he has never heard it called a Windy in his life, like I was some kind of retard! we went back & forth just a stupid argument!
 
thanks for the compliments on the WINDY guys ;) I got frostbite last year on my cheak after about 10 minutes on my friends 98 mxz 583 with the stock windy. just that once you have it it makes ya nervous lol!
