hey guys,

I need some opinions on the skis I ordered..

I ordered a set of Kimpex plastic skis that are supposed to mount like stock to my 97 Vmax XTC

Are these ok skis? I mainly ordered them for cost value $240 /w woodie carbides

I ordered these skis over a month ago, seems they are on back order or something.

Should I wait out the order or ask the shop if i can change my order or cancel it all together? what should I order that wouldn't be much more expensive?

I'm a noob to the sled world, any help would rock :yam: :WayCool:

Suggestion: If you can cancel the order do so. Then do search of skis on this and/or other forums. After researching what you find out evaluate your options; buy new or used(classifieds threads) and do I really need them? What Am I trying to achieve ? Good luck. studdog Important to get skis that will work well on your sled. Not your buddies or Blair Morgan's

Just heard from the shop .. the skis have been discontinued

I looked at the classifieds here and see some skis but I'm not sure if they will work

Is the spindle mount width the only thing i'm really concerned about? I also heard that I might have to do some adjusting with the spindle mount to make the ski sit higher..

But what skis will work? viper skis? what years? Who has plastic skis for sale?

Thanks

i think that any viper skis will work. the only thing that i did was get a longer bolt and double nutted it. it did lower the front maybe an inch but i think that it will be fine because id ont mind how low mine is. i posted some pics in the photo section. if you want pics of the saddles and the bolts i used let me know. from what i hear c+a are the way to go but i got brand new viper skis on here with stock carbids and saddles for 150 shipped to my door.

The viper skis will lower the front end of the xtc. the C&A's they are great skis and there new. Maxdlx
