Has anybody tried Fox Floats on the SRX as of yet or do you know if they woul dwork. Would the RX1 work or even another brand of sled. Any input would be a great help.

i'll let you know when i asap, but that may not be till next year due to things moving so slowly, and thats when the sled will be done...
I put a set of Floats on my '02 SRX last year. Unfortunately Fox doesn't make any Floats for the trailing arm Yamaha's. The trick is to find out the correct eye to eye length for your application and then do a cross reference with a Fox dealer to figure out which shock will work. I've got a custom wide front end on my SRX that required a lot of poking around to get everything to work. My application wouldn't do you any good on a stock front end. Once I did some testing and revalved the shocks, it was like a whole new sled. You should be able to find what you need with a little persistance.

where did you get the custom wider front end? I'm in the process of trying to get the front end up and out to compensate for my expert x. I would like to see more pics too. Also, where did you get those trailing arms. thanks for the help!

A machinist friend and I came up with a 44.5" wide lightweight front end. It actually has 10" of travel. He made the radius and tie rods and a few other parts to make sure I had the correct geometry.
Northern Lites made the trailing arms. If you're looking for a wide front end kit, FAST makes a wide kit called a BLT. Sno-Tek also has a nice lightweight/wide kit available. It takes more than bolting on a bunch of parts when you start to go that wide. You really need to watch your bump steer or your ride and handling will be out of whack. I wanted to use some Floats and no one made a kit using them, so I had to do it up myself.
I don't have any other pictures that I could find of the SRX. I'm currently giving the 'ol girl a little makeover for this winter and will probably post some pics when it's done.

cam, pm 2000srx or go to their website www.cbperformance.com and check out their front end kits. a lot cheaper than maximum performances, and its all aluminum so its light too. thats where i'm gonna be gettin mine from when i get around to that part of the build as well as gettin some $$$!!!

thanks for the info. by the way, I think it was your post where I saw that cc performance recommended the m10 over the expert. He did that to me also when i talked to him on the phone. I bought the m10 at a special year end price and ended up selling it to get an expert. the expert is alot more durable. don't get me wrong, the m10 is durable too, but i doubt it's as durable as the expert. They both weigh close to the same. I guess I just didn't like the idea of buying a extra jack for the m10 to make changes on the trail. I will tell you more when I get a chance to use it. By the way, I made alot of my decision of the expert over the m10 through riders that have both. Hope this helps you with your decision.
