a 1972,ariens 7hp snothro, for how old it is,it was very well maintained still has original paint,i even got the original manual, with electric start. she a bear looks like she will be a monster at chewing up snow.and the gut feeling i have about this winter, with all the crazy weather that has been happening, she is going to be put to good use.and i got it for 100$ :D:DP

Cool,
Last august I was given a 1975ish ariens 5hp, I used it many times last winter. sure beats shoveling

I just threw one of those out... It wouldnt run for nothing, handle was broke and well used. ;)!

I use to work for a Ariens dealer 20 years ago
Those where the best snow throwers in there day.
I would take an old Ariens (orange & white) any day.

The only problem they ever really had was the friction disk slide would get really tight
after a year of sitting, and be tough to get into reverse.
but that's an easy fix with some cleaning & some low temp lube
or anti-seize

Congrats

our snow blower is 1976 canadiana but its in semi retirement since we put the plow on the 1988 bronco II 4x4. beats standin in the snow and gettin a face full when the wind is wrong.
