Yamaholic- what is your temp test? Touch of primary/secondary, can you hold on to it, etc??

well yea you can do that, it gives you at least a decent idea of where you are at on that. I use an infrared thermometer that i got from a good friend Cooler is better for the efficiency of transmissions. CVT transmissions are already inefficient enough, better to not make it worse with a poor clutch setup cranking up the temps because of wasted energy. By Conservation of Energy the energy that isn't transferred can't be LOST, so it is dissipated as heat.
