I want to stud 144 down the center on my Viper with double backers and singles. How many doubles do I need and singles? I like the 144 pattern on SRXRULES tech pattern. Any idea?

Why are you studding the Middle?? Just wondering?? Looking to do dragging?? Anyways, I'm not sure about it...
No, just trail riding in Michigan. Why? I heard that for the Viper 144 down the center was the way to go.

from what i hear, studding down the center is the new trend. studding on the outside can cause pull outs and bending when standing alone. not all outside studs pull out, but you gotta get it right in the sweet spot for it not to pull out. then again, it does depend on how your gettin on it, or not. thats just what i've been told

I heard from mechanics saying having the outsides studed will give you better grip in the corners, so your backend doesnt kick out underneith you...hmmm

Down the center is the only way to go. Ruined my last track by studding on the outside.
I tried to attach a pattern that I used, but having trouble. You can see the 144 center single and double at www.woodystraction.com.

I have to agree 144 down the centre. I have talked to many snowmobilers and the majority do not install on the outer part of the track.
