Anyone out there have an extended VMAX to 136"

Is this worth the cost or changing up to a 1.25 or 1.5" easier and similar results?

What would be the approximate cost of extending not including the track on a 97 VMAX.

it makes a big difference going out to 136. We went with a 1.25 camo predator connected cone, good track for this application. Amazing performance in loose snow, and the added length makes it ride much better too. More and more people are extending to 136, my next will probably be.

i was planning on doing this also and i found a kit from mountain performance for only $329. this is there cheapest kit they have two others. anybody have any likes or dislikes with the option 1 kit from mtn. perf.???

Did a few option 1 kits and and they worked well. Tracks USA rail extensions are preferred tho. Mtn Perf may delete their extensions from the kit if you ask. Also I like the Mtn Perf billet bumper to the stock un-covered bumper as well

i would go with the 1.5 track myself. extending is alot of work and can cost alot of money. i extened from 121 to 144 and with a 1.25" track and would go with the 1.5 if i had to do it again. i also got a 1.25 on my short track sled and what a difference that makes, so i think i would do 1.5. any questions give me a call.

going to a taller lug track does nothing for increasing floatation, just traction. Going longer will give you more traction as well as more floatation, so it will be much better off trail, plus they have more stability on trail. You notice just a SLIGHT loss in manueverability on trails with the longer track, but nothing that would stop me from building another one.

After i extended my 97 sx to a 136 I fell in love right away with it. It hooks up so much better on trail and off trail then any 121 I have ever rode. I don't think I will ever go back to a 121. Another great thing was it bridged the bumps on the trail, I noticed it on a really ripped up trail in big bay. Its really not that hard to do the extention but time comsuming and would do it again to any sled I ever own.

-Track USA extentions
-Maxximum Perf. tunnel extention
-Camoplast 6 pitch cone

when you got the tunnel extension from maxx. perf. did it come with the longer hoses and hose covers and all that other good stuff

yes it did he got the kit that came with those, and moved the rear exchanger to the extension.

Mike your not my mom, I can talk for myself...LOL jk, Ya it came with the long hoses and also with i think rx-1 mountian rear foot rest, they came in a yamaha package in the maxx. kit. The nicest thing about the kit was they gave you all the rivits you need and many extra. I think it was like 40 some rivits they gave me for what ever reason.
