Hi guys I'm new here, thanks for letting me in.I hope I'm in the right spot.first I never owned a sled..don't know too much about them either.I'm comparing apple to oranges here I guess, but,I'm stuck between the Viper and the Warrior.any way,I probably won't do 2000 miles in a year,I found an 04 Viper ER 1200 miles $5500.00 and a 04 Warrior ER $5500.00 with 900 miles both stock ????which way do I go.I guess I would be riding rough trails mostly and a few lakes...I know it's a tough call but,I need some insight..any info would be awesome..I do know I will buy a Yamaha..I have a Grizzly 600 and a FJR 1300 also a Breeze for the kids... thanks BTBG

warrior all the way. espically if the price is the same.
If you are riding on bumpy trails, you will want to be on something lighter than a 600 lbs sled..........I would go with the viper.........

The 136" Warrior suspension rides ALOT better then the 121 Viper. Heavier but overall a better sled. Don't get me wrong, I loved my viper, for the same price though I'd def go Warrior.

The viper is a "big bump" sled. It is set up that way from the factory. The warrior is set up similar,, more so than the RX-1 but it is heavier. Good luck,, tough decision, both are good sleds.
A longer track doesn't mean it will handle better in the trails either. It is easier to turn a chevette than a bus. If you like turns, curves and berms, consider the shorter track of the Viper.

A lot depends on the type of rider you are. If you are going to go ballz out in the twisties than the Viper is the better choice. If your going to do more trail cruising and and blasting the straight aways and lakes than I would go Warrior. Dollar for Dollar the Warrior is a better Value but ultimatly the sled that suits you best depends on how your going to use it.

thanks guys,Ok I'm learning here,I like ballz to the wall, I don't mind tossing around a heavier machine.as for the riding,it will be a little of everything...I like fast and controlable, but ,don't need to win the 1/4 mile..but would like to beat you to the finish line.

Warrior without a doubt. For all around riding it is better than the viper, and with both being the same price it is a better deal. I ride my warrior in all conditions- deep snow, wide groomed trails, rough trails, tight twisty trails, runs down the lake. The only spot the viper may be better is in the twistys. Other than that it is warrior all the way.

get ready to laugh.I'm new..I 'm hearing "twisty"?? fill me in on the correct lingo here.. we ran a groomed snow trail one time on our 4 wheelers, where the groomer stoppped and turned around. the rest of the trail was 3 foot speed bumps for it seemed like 10 miles..
me..if that's twisty I'm never ridding on that trail like that again..I had hair before I rode that trail..

Twisty=tight curvy trails that get sweet snow berms built up for high speed cornering. Damn, it needs to snow soon...I'm ready!!!!!

dude, warrior all the way - you'd have to have brain damage to take the viper for the same price.
