I know I need high octane gas once I install my Aaen tripple what octane would be safe 91 or 93. I can always get 91 where ever I ride. 93 I will need to remember to fill up prior to riding and not while riding since in some areas 91 is all I can get.

91 is fine, probably even overkill. I never ran premium in any of my nonpowervalved triples with triple pipes until i did the headgasket mod. No traces of detonation whatsoever. It won't hurt anything to run premium though just in case.

Thanks again Yamaholic. I normally always run premium since I have the head gasket mod right now single piped. 2 layers removed. There was a few times when I did not fill up before riding and was stuck using 91. No detonation at all. My machine has always been very reliable. I just wan not sure with the tripples. Good to know if I ever forget to fill I should be ok with the 91.

only problem i ever had was a leaky head gasket after it was thinned out. With head gaskets being 33 bucks a piece, 100 bucks total, i didn't thin it out again. lol
