Went to a buddies house last night for a halloween party and theres a guy there i know.Starts talking about the new yamaha sleds cutting them down becaue he's a skidoo guy.Has never ridden one but had his mind made up already. He's the same guy that crashed trying to keep up with me when i had my 98 srx and he had a 2000 mxz800.Now he has a rev 800.Basically i told him that if he wants to try and keep up and not crash doing so i will ride with him.And the kicker is his sled is in the shop getting fixed ;)! Even my other buddy thats diehard polaris was talking about getting the new apex and how his buddy at works f-7 is fast but is only 2 years old and has broken just about everything on it.so now he's also looking at a new yamaha. So it looks like alot of people will be mad this winter when they come up to a yamaha and they arent as slow as they think or you wave to them while they are broke down on the side of the trail.

I agree, diehards are changing their minds and changing brand, or will be suprised this winter when they line up or try to keep up :)

Lets really look at this without our blue colored glasses.
Doo make a good sled no doubt about it. Yamaha has had it's share of problems but what other company can offer what Yamy has right now. The technology is unbelievable. The gas mileage the power and the reliability.
And they are working on improving this new line up. I was at my dealer yesterday looking at the RTX and it is really a great sled from the insides to the fine finish.

I agree. I would love a rev....However, it's kind of hard for me to switch brands cause Yami has been so reliable for me. My Srx, my Viper...I think the four stroke is next for me. I love the trip[ple smoothness and the new four strokers offer that oppossed to the twins. They are a little bit grunty and jerky for me. Not as smooth basically.

what arent as smooth, the twins? I agree about the reliability though, cant bring myself to NOT have reliability in turn for ultimate speed or power.

A lot of people who would have never even considered a Yamaha in the past and strongly considering getting one.
If the Apex lives up to the preseason hype, I think A LOT of people will be in the market for an '07.

Nice handlebars, richie. Whats it got, about 12" of rise on it? Thats a sweet sled, but Im sure youve got a lot of time and money invested in it.
