not yet. i knew that would come up, i was debating on whether askin now or when i got the first one but i got trigger happy!!! i will try to get one as soon as i can. thanks!!!
 
I've went through the billet head plate theory time and time again with Mark Giamattei when he was making the mega power heads and plates... Theres pro's and con's to the plate thing... As far as holding the cylinders together, Yes it would help with that.. as far as the head bolts thing and the sealing washers thing,,,well,,,thats a different story,,, Nothing but problem after problem with my set!!!! It doesn't have THAT MUCH benefit compared to the costs and the hinderances!!! been there done that!!! Gary Oles nosboy
 
well thanks for you comments but your point is what? these were made by a very respected (not me, i wanted one and got in contact and he did all the work) individual who is on the fourm here and also races professionally AND he knows his stuff. so you can quit crappin on peoples stuff here and let us show what we have before you get judgemental.
 
SX... Not to start anything but nosboy has a very good point. I'm sure your machinest is very capable of making these plates, but sealing them to the head is another story. Remember any deviation in the cylinder height or head thickness and you got a leak, period. That copper washer is copper for a reason, it will give a little and seal up that surface where the head bolts meets the head. All of those tolerances (top of cylinder height / head bolt height) would have to be dam near perfect. The plate certainly isn't gonna flex enough to seal those holes up, and Yamaha bond #4 just plain makes a mess. You could recess the bolt holes on the bottom side of the plate and put o-rings there but that would be a juggling act to get the plate on without losing one or two, and you'd need 18 of 'em... By the way I voted for the plate
