X2 on dishwasher. Sometimes when clutch is disassembled and sometimes I've just thrown the whole assembled thing (both primary and secondary) in there. Just fill 'er up with Cascade and let her run a cylcle or 2 on HOT. I put the belt in there also at the same time.
In addition to that I sometimes use 400 grit sandpaper to "lightly" rough up sheave faces on primary and secondary. I also use the 400 grit on used belts to rough up sides periodically. I do this to the belt when I see they get shiny on the sides. These moves do help to eliminate belt from slipping.
I also like to used acetone periodically. Brake cleaner is also ok (not on the clutch faces) to squirt into mechanical parts of clutch if you need a quick fix and don't have time to fully clean the clutches.
