yes that is true A LOT of people are building and installing corn heaters now. Quite efficient and cheap to operate.

2.2 bushels of corn will produce 1,000,000 BTU's , the most it will burn a day is 3 bushels & thats only when its below zero,. I'm not sure but can't you check how much alcohol is in gas with a hydrometer ?
