ok 99 srx big bore went from air box nitrous system to wet system.oil pump is bypassed to only oil crank.fuel is premixed.
Can I tee electric pump in before regular fuel pump or will this cause a problem staving carbs for fuel.

The BEST way to do it is to have a seperate fuel supply (one quart tecumseh or B&S plastic tank) from a lawnmower or snowblower or something like that!!!!! A seperate ADJUSTABLE electric fuel pump is also the way to go,,,but,,NOS systems uses an in line fuel pump that works fine... WHEN you get up to 28/32 JETS and beyond,, you HAVE to use AT LEAST 118 octane fuel... Considering your sled PROBABLY WONT RUN on even 108 octane fuel,,,, the 118 is just what you need to keep it from going south!!!!! As far as spraying a POSITIVE pressure (900psi) into an airbox is ABSOLUTELY STUPID!!!!!! ESPECIALLY IF THE CARBS ARE VENTED INTO THE AIRBOX!!!! PLEASE SPEND THE 5 OR 10 dollars and buy the book from holley about NITROUS!!!! You wouldn't have wasted good money on spraying it into your airbox!!!!! AS FAR AS TAPPING the fuel line going to the carbs,,, ANOTHER BAD IDEA!!!!! Yamaha uses about 5/16 fuel line.... sleds usually get 10mpg.... use this for example... a holley 650 NEEDS TWO 3/8 lines tho run efficiently... (it also gets around 10mpg) so you see,,, the line Yamaha uses DOES NOT HAVE enough headroom for the drop in pressure and volume!!!! Premix is the way to go (synthetic or BEAN OIL) is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED when spraying nitrous!!!!! 100 low lead (available at ANY AIPORT) will get you started in the right direction.. NEVER USE PUMP GAS WITH A NITROUS SYSTEM... Pump gas is TOO CHEAP. expands TOO quickly and has 10% alcohol mixed with it....HORRIBLE with a nitrous system and even WORSE ON YOUR SOLENOIDS!!!! (they make alky solenoids at double or triple the price).....read the book DO IT RIGHT OR YOU'LL BE SORRY!!!!!!! gary Oles nosboy
I dont mean to scare you. I have just been there and done that a LOT of times!!! I learned from the BEST OUT THERE and PAYED ATTENTION when they spoke!!! Mike Thermos (the guy who started NOS systems before holley bought it out from him) Was an ASBOLUTE GURU when it came to nitrous systems,,, He wrote the "BOOK" on nitrous systems.... A LOT of guys have tried,,,but,,, they wound up stealing his ideas (AND NO!!! spraying into the airbox wasn't his idea) He's an OLD MAN now and he likes to take the winnebago to the strips around the country and watch the fuel guys!!!!! He would sit there and TALK FOR HOURS about the right ways and the wrong ways to do stuff... I haven't seen or heard from him in a lot of years,,,, I hope he is still alive and well!!!! But needless to say, he taught a LOT of guys a lot of good stuff about nitrous!!!! You know when you are getting what you should have when all you need to replace is the ROD BEARINGS on your BIGBLOCK!!!!! Gary Oles nosboy
When i read you post about the 99 SRX,,,, It brought a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye,, I had the MEANEST 99SRX around...WITH the trickiest NITROUS system on the planet (just about)... Teflon coated piston skirts with creamic coated tops, head domes and exhaust ports... i made 1/2 inch plates to screw the nitrous nozzles into (kind like spacer plates)...My friend Mike Dinkle hit the button and it spit him off the sled and he totalled out the SRX.. needless to say,,, the srx was them built for asphalt... i could NEVER figure out the clutching,,, but with a STOCK clutch SETUP,,, i shaved a SECOND AND A HALF off my quarter mile time!!!!! BOY,,, Take a trip down Memory lane tonight Gary,,,,,,,,,it feels good!!!!! Gary Oles nosboy (kinda makes me want to open up the garage and tear into the bigblock challenger!!!!)
OK So I use old injection bottle to fuel electric fuel pump.I will get book to help with what i don't no . thanks for your time.
hope all this time to go to wet ststem in worth all the work that it takes
