Is it possible that my three ignition coils could be going bad and causing me to foul plugs for no good reason?? While riding on friday in 29 degree temps, i fouled several plugs during the day. We rode allot of powder but never did I foul a plug while in the powder. It was always on a nice trail that I would foul a plug. Going at a good rate down the trail, stopped for the grommer to go by, took back off and fouled a plug. I could understand if it was in the powder but the sled ran fine all day in the powder. I have replaced the stater a season ago. Spark plug caps are also new then, new plugs installed. CDI and the three ignition coils all are stock and have 5500 miles on them.
Sat I rode all day without any problem - 18 degrees. Both trail and powder.
Could the ignition coils have a mind of there own. When I did foul a plug it was not real black as if they were fouled but it would not be fireing on that cylinder any longer untill I changed the plug. It also was not always on the same cylinder, more of a random thing.
