This isn't a bash, just to let you know what I saw this weekend. I don't want to here my buddy has one and has no problems, I really don't care. It's just something I saw two different times and want to share so you don't end up in a situation like me.

While riding behind a Ski-doo two up, 1.5 or REV-UP whatever you call it I noticed that the passenger sits very high and at several time the passangers almost lost there balance to the point of falling, Yes keep in mind they probably were new to the sport considering all their clothes matched the sled. :D But this wasn't the only time it happened. I would give these people plenty of room when following. I had to lock on my brakes numerous times thinking the person was bouncing off. We were only going about 25 so it wasn't do to speed. Just a heads up.
 
I've wondered about that seat. Not as comfy as a normal 2 up sled, and it does sit quiet high.

All that tippyness could be driver error too, quick steering inputs and all.

Good eye though.

How much seat time do any of you have on this?
you guys crack me up, never ridden one, but know exactly how they work
because "I seen one go down the trail."
my wife and I have put over 300 miles on our gsx 1+1 while my srx needed some repairs.
1 very stable better riding than the polaris two up classic we had
2 not tippy at all
3 more balls in this 600 HO than any yamaha 600 ever
the only thing my wife didn't like were the handles but those can be adjusted.
4 very versitile can remove seat and you have a one up
I think it has more to do with all the new sledders that are out there
many can't keep their one up on the trail
don't blame the rev design it works great
 
If you read the "D$MN" Post you will say it wasn't a cut. READ FIRST. I am telling you these people were a danger to YOU AND I besides themselves.. I believe it was a combination of things, Unfamiliar riders, and the fact the sled reacts very quickly. The two probably don't mix at some point. So before you flame me about "how much seat time I have" Understand what I was saying. I am glad you are happy with yours.
 
REV 600 More Balls Than Any Yamaha 600, YEAH OKAY

Okay my brother has a REV 800 and his wife has a REV 600 HO,
their daughter rides on both and ocassionally she will bump
helemets with her mom or dad on bumps, her upper body
is very gumbyish, because as she holds on her arms are
basically straight at her sides so she cannot balance
her upper body as well. Doest appear very safe to me
but she hasnt popped of yet.

Oh and I beg to differ that the 600 HO has more balls
than any Yamaha 600 Ever, maybe a SX or SXR
certianly not an SRX. I give it credit it has kick
but not more than my SRX.

SRX- here we go again comparing a srx 3x3 to a 600 2x1. Thats fair. I bet you a 2 x 2 sdi 600 woulld smoke your srx. Come on - it is ok to be semi brand loyal, but apples to apples please

I know you cant compare a 3X3 to a 2X1, they are clearly not on level playing fields but im not the one who made the statement above.

Personally I love the REV and am considering trading in my
SRX, the only drawback to me is the 2X1, you really do get
used to having a triple triple. :twisted:
 
I do read post before I respond.
Your post is a slam whether you intend it to be or not.
the worst part is it is an uninformed slame based on an observation not
experience. I ride yami, my wife has ridden poo and doo and I rode doo before yami, brand loyalty is one thing brand blindness is entirely another.
as far as srx 600 being fast I will give you that one but run a well set up 600 ho sdi and I bet you will have your hands full, especially if the race track has a bump or two in it.
if you make a post and cannot accept a valid opinion that does not match yours maybe you shouldn't post, this forum is all about sharing knowledge and all I did was share real world first hand experience not opinion.
VMJ you would be suprised at how comfortable the seat is, I will let you ride behind me Sunday to get the real experience :lol:
 
I'd love to Bozz! Any ideas on a good meeting time and place?

I sat on the 1+1 seat at Novi. It felt a little short on me, and it didn't appear that the handles were heated...? I like hte flexibiltiy of it though, it's got me thinking.
 
Handles are not heated- on a cold day I could see that being a problem
the flexability is the nice thing, remember it is not a dedicated touring machine but does a great job of hauling two people around.
What is really scary is the people I see cruising around with two people on a one up maching that is scary.
what a gas pig though had to by the jerry can to feel comfortable cruising
 
no a slam would be that fn thing sucks, it is the worst thing I ever saw. So our opinions of slams are by far way different. If you knew me you would understand this. All my fellow riders are on Doo's and we all respect each others belief's and opinions and love to swap rides. If you don't think real life experience and observation, is fair that is fine. I am not here to pick fights or to justify what I saw. I would have posted it if it was a Yami, I am not color blind actually I can't tell you what my next sled will be. The fact is I could not believe how Fast the doo's can turn around. That is very impressiive.

I guess this shows how much BS forums can be you can't make an observation based on "a real world" situation. with out someone being pissed off, no matter how hard you try to clarify your attentions.
 
This is a TOTALLY YAMAHA web site so it to be expected that there may be some slammin from time to time.
There are many of us that love yamaya if you don't like our comments don't read them. We are expressing our thoughts and opinions. If some of you prefer the doo's then go on the doo forums and leave us talking about are yamaha's.
I will not give up the reliability and gas mileage of my machine for doo's or poo's and have seen poo's and cat's blow up many times. I have tried the REV platform and for me it sucks...that is my opinion.

I agree is everyone is entitled to his or her opinion, but you
cannot go after a person and say his or her opinion is not
valid no matter how off the wall it may be, it doesnt have
to be thats why its an opinion and not fact.

And by you (Bluebozz) putting in your post "any yamaha 600 ever"
did you not expect backlash, COME ON thems fightin words especially
on a yamaha site.

If we are only going to post facts from now on it seems to me someone should get their facts straight before they post, because I would say thats not fact thats just talkin plain trash :twisted:

you say comparing a 98 srx 600 to a 04 rev 600 is unfair, well thats a 6 year difference. That'd be like comparing a 92 v max 4 750 (srx 600) 4X2 to a 98 srx 700 (rev 600) 3X3. and i know for sure the v max wont take the srx, so give yamaha and the srx 600 a little credit.
 
I will be buying a 'gade for this coming season. Most important reason being I LOVE the way the thing rides, it fits my riding style perfectly! Also, being that I am a runt, it 'fits' me good. The second reason being my daughter is getting tall enough now that when she rides in front of me, I can barely see over her head, so the ability to put that two up seat on really kicks arse! Then I can take it off when she is not riding with me. I think everyone should compare HP numbers on those 600's. The doo is at what, 118 or so? The triple triple 600 is? I don't remeber. LOL. :lol: Anyways, we have snow here at home now, so I'm going riding. Later, Sxrlar.
 
my brother has a skidoo and we switch back and forth while riding to test the machines, and help each other with mods etc. its about you :arrow: not the machine..... just have fun doing it...and take pride in the enviroment..... and for gods sake use your hand signals :lol:
