Oil pump Spec.

Looking for the pump setting for a '94 phazer, this machine you have to
measure the cable, I would like to know for shure not a guess.

This was the spec for a 00 Phazer.. I'm assuming all years were the same:

Hmmm... i wonder witch one i should go by, the one you posted first is diff.
than the one off the web site from yam. that you posted.

one is 19+/- 1MM(0.75+/-0.04in) (For a '00

and the other is 22+/- 1MM(0.87+/-0.04in) (for a '98

mabie go with the '98 it's closer to the '94?????

My manual (PZ480H 1986) has oil pump cable adjustment at 21-23mm (.83-.91).

Looks like they leaned her out by '00 then.

The 1994 spec is 21-23. Less of a gap will tighten the cable up and pull the pump open further for more oil.

That is from a 1994 Venture service manual -same as Phazer, also the same spec in pre1990 Phazer manual. I just remembered that the 2000 Phazer would have a Mikuni oil pump and that may be the reason for the different cable length. Oil usage may or may not be different. Phazers before 1999 had a Yamaha pump.
