I need to repolish the front end kit to get it looking as nice as it did before install. I have been just way to busy at work lately to work on sleds. I am going to trim 1.5 inches off of the botom of the drop brakets also, as it is unneeded material. The pics don't do CB Perf front end kit justice. This thing is just flat awsome looking in person. I wish I could find a before pic of the sled, but can't so oh well. But done for now. Maxdlx

Looks a little silly jacked up like that, what was the purpose of that? Otherwise it looks great, how does that boss seat (looks like flattop?) feel compared to the stock one?
 
man those brackets you use to raise the back up really jack it up eh? haha i would love to put em on my sx cuz the way it looks now is dangerously low compared to all my buddys sleds haha
 
dangerously low.... I had one of them for 9k miles and it was more safe than dangerous, FAR better in the corners ;)
 
how much did you drop the rear? it looks like it will dig to china before it gets stuck now! looking good! im anxious to get my drop brackets!
 
Thanks for the positive comments guys, The rear is dropped 3.25 inches,which is only 1.5 inches more than a Mtn viper. the extension is a 144 not 136, which if it was a 136 non tapered ext, it wouldn't look quite as high. I also have ohlins rears with about 1 inch more travel than stock, which raises the rear, and also allows more sit in. So with my fat a$$ on it it sets just about like a Mtn viper. As for looking silly, it is better than having the track rub, which it was doing before the drop. I was wishing I had pics of it when it was stock, before the drop brakets at all. As for the boss seat it makes it real easy to stand up, and even easier to lean the sled up on its side while riding. need some snow now to see if it will float or sink. If it sinks, it will be a PITA to get out thats for sure.

Max, Mothers aluminum polish will make the spacers on the Mtn skis look like chrome as well. I did not try it on the spindles as I have billet already...
 
Mountainman can you measure your rear bumper height for me and post it. I really don't think mine is that much different from a regular mtn sled. Like I said the too long extension makes it look worse. I also have my transferrods extended 10 mm, which allows for not only more travel but transfer too. Why is it everyone thinks the weight transfer is terrible. It is the same geometry as your sled, and this one is set up right, actually it transfers better. Look at it as a leverage deal. I have way more leverage than you, and can change it very easy just by where I put my feet. This isn't a trail sled that is riden sitting on your butt. Maybe if we get alot of snow in Iowa this year we should have an Iowa ty ride. I'll let some of you guys bust trail in ditches with 5 foot of snow, then I'll go, bet I know who rides more and who digs out more. Maxdlx

Maxdlx, I think it looks great. Is there a cost to handling? Yea maybe you will have to work a little harder in the corners but oh well. It looks killer and will reduce deep snow running board drag. FYI, height of a stock MM lift bar is 25". MPI tip up tunnel lift bar height is 29".
 
Thanks Modmax, my bumper is 30.5 inches. I have the ski preasure cranked way up, and the limiters clear out, and it turns fine on grass. We don't corner to much down here anyway. Maxdlx
 
Im with Paul, we need a last minute Iowa TY ride. We get 8"+ and the ditches fill with 5-8' of snow then we can ride...better bring your mountain sleds..hehe.

Thats why my 500 has a 2" paddle track..everyone said it wont work...and I will never change it back! ;)! Someone has to be man enouph to blaze the trail.

I am a little skeptical about the raised rear, only because I did that and it didnt work for me. Paul.. no offence but you probably have a couple pounds on me. When you sit on that sled it levels out nice and looks good! Me I couldnt get mine to squat. But then again I left everything at stock and just roated it..and thats not right either.

got to let me know what you think after you ride it Paul them come and help me do mine! was thinkinh that might be the ticket for out west
