I'm trying to figure out the horsepower of a 2001 SXR700. I'vew been told every-thing from 108hp-120hp. The only thing not factory is i was told it had Power Reeds in the carbs

120 is high.
They can very a little but usually run about 112hp.

hey Yamaholic, I learned a lot from you buddy and retain most of what I read.
I cant beleive actually how much I have learned about Yamaha's over the last 2 years of reading on TY and reading manuals and trial and error as well.

its a lot of fun once you start learing the stuff hey? And you REALLY learn a lot when you do your own work instead of taking it to the dealer. A lot of people can't bring themselves to do it, they don't trust themselves, but it is the only way to really learn.
