parents got a vmax 500 (99') deluxe and the clutch setup is shot. the weights (from what i've been taught) should be tight, and these are flopping loose. i'd like to do a whole rebuild on the clutch (weights, rollers, spring, etc.) to get it setup for them this season. my dad said he'd like to have it be a bit more snappy than what it was before, he's not worried about top speed at all. any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!!

8ab's with a 47/41 helix seems to be the standard for a snappier setup on the 500's I just set mine up this way but I havent been able to test it yet. Not sure on the rivits though, there were alot of different combos mentioned.

sorry not much help, but might leed you in the right direction.

oh, sorry forgot to mention. its just the primary we're workin with here. its hard enough as is to force them to keep it so we can all go riding together, let alone talk them into putting money into it!!! thanks for the help hoffman, anyone else? thanks!!!
